LatWaves is an international symposium focused on spans modelling, analysis and observations of wind-generated waves. After five successful editions in Rio de Janeiro (2015 and 2016), Medellin (2018), Uruguay (2022) and Quito (2024) the sixth edition of LatWaves will take place in Valparaiso, Chile, on October 26-28 (2026).

We invite abstracts from Latin American and all over the world with a focus in ocean wave research. This meeting will be conducted in plenary, with time reserved for discussion to identify key research questions within the international community.
